Dr. Chun Keung Mak was born in Hong Kong, and grew up in California. Dr. Mak began his undergraduate studies in Biology and Nutrition at The University of Hong Kong, in Hong Kong SAR. He later acquired his doctorate degree in Chiropractic Medicine in 2007 and master’s degree in Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine in 2010, from Southern California University of Health Sciences, in Whittier, California. While studying at HKU, Dr. Mak develops a passion for helping people achieve better health.
Dr. Mak has been serving as Qualified Medical Evaluator (Q.M.E.) since 2012. He is board certified in chiropractic sports medicine (C.C.S.P.), chiropractic acupuncture (D.A.C.B.A), and forensic examinations (D.A.B.F.E.) He also has obtained a fellow status in wilderness medicine from Wilderness Medical Society (W.M.S.). He is also the director of a medical tourism company, which helps cancer patients from Hong Kong and China to get the treatments that they need in the United States. Because of his medical background, Dr. Mak has worked closely with medical doctors and hospitals.
Understanding the importance of human resource management, professionalism, and short-staffed situation in hospitals, Dr. Mak has the vision to start a medical staffing company that acknowledges the need to treat people with kindness and respect. Dr. Mak intends to provide solutions to hospitals, long-term care facilities, and clinics with regards to human resources to provide the staff that they need. Louis started his decision-making for the medical field at 17 years old. Growing up in poverty he understood that there is hope to get out and this is what pushed him to be who he is today. At 17 years old he started taking medical assistant classes at 4 am, going to high school at 8:30 am, and then playing football after school. So making time is never an issue.
